Our Commitment to the Environment
Sabal Insurance Group is concerned with doing its part to help preserve the environment. We believe that green initiatives are fundamental to our success and to the greater health of our planet. As such, we are always researching new products and procedures to make our operations as earth friendly as possible.
We are determined to learn what it takes to be more eco-friendly and implement new methods into our daily routine. Examples of step that we have already taken include:
- Shredding and recycling the paper we use company-wide
- Placing limitations on the use of colored paper, since it's not easily recycled
- Limiting unnecessary printing and waste through our paperless office environment
- Purchasing recycled products and energy efficient electronics as a default
- Actively promoting the recycling of aluminum cans, plastic bottles and glass, as well as office supplies like ink cartridges
- Discouraging the use of disposables by providing stainless steel utensils and china dishware in our breakroom; employees bring in mugs from home
Sabal Insurance Group also encourages a green lifestyle among its employees. In addition to endorsing the use of public transportation and carpooling, our employees are able to telecommute from home one a day a week, thereby reducing the amount of energy consumed in a car ride to and from the office.
